Conclusion

Problems

From our project, we discovered several problems with the Cheesecake Factory. The problems they have are long wait to be seated, slow service, subpar servers, unsatisfactory take out service, and cold food.

Recommendations

However, these issues can be solved. The recommendations we have for the Cheesecake Factory include adopting a better hiring/training strategy to decrease customer service issues, hiring more staff to counter the volume of customers, overlap shifts so that we will have more servers during peak times, focus more on customer satisfaction, and making a designated section for a take-out line.

Lessons We've Learned

From this project, we learned several things while analyzing the Cheesecake Factory. We learned about the system in a restaurant works; ins and outs. We learned that implementing management skills to maximize the value of the business, such as scheduling and level strategy. Also, it is important to apply concepts to improve the Cheesecake Factory's day to day service and inventory. The lesson we've learned is how a company should adjust for total costs of good or poor quality.
