Introduction

The Cheesecake Factory restaurant was founded in 1978 by David Overton, son of Evelyn Overton. Evelyn was the inspiration behind the restaurant, as she started out with baking and distributing cheesecakes out of a shop called The Cheesecake Factory Bakery in 1972. She sold over 15 different cheesecakes and other baking goods out in Beverly Hills, California. Their restaurant became a success, and thus resulted in over 200 restaurants, currently, across the world. 


Objective of This Project:

The objective of our project on The Cheesecake Factory is to apply concepts learned within operations management, with the goal of specifically using formulas in class to improve the company’s efficiency.
